Wow

People zero-bombed the fuck outa this. It's unfortunate, but it happens. People are dicks sometimes. Excelent work. It could use a little more though. I think some synth wouldn't hurt it. It's all good though. Just keep makin stuff. Real people will listen to it, like it, and listen to your other stuff. Just keep makin stuff. It'll fix itself.

Dxyz-Productionz responds:

Well It Definatly Could Use Words. I Know U Can Rhyme better Than I can So. goahead Downlaod and write to it. i wouldnt mind at all.

Talent

Pure talent. The kind that makes it obvious that you practice. The kind that makes artists such as myself jealous. Thats what this peice shows. It sounds like you put alot of effort into it. Easily desrving the title of the best of the week.

Ethalyn responds:

well thanks for the kind words man=] and dude i dont think im any good myself =P im sure your just as good or most likely better than me ^_^

It's cool that your first submission

has already been featured in a game. It's a good submission. A little overly lengthy but still good. Can easily be cut up to make a nice loop. I gotta say for your first submission that it's great. Keep up the good work. I wish I could do the same :( If you wouldn't mind sharing, what program did you use to make your music?

scrappy777 responds:

Thanks for the review :)
I use FL Studio

I hate to say it

But it's not one of your bests to me. Something just feels really off about it. It doesn't sound like it has that f triple seven sound to it that makes your songs great. I still like it, but it just doesn't feel right to me.

F-777 responds:

=P this is actually one of my favourite ones of mine =P...thanks for the review![

Very Original

You've done something that I've never seen on the portal. The sounds reversed have an amazing effect on the song. You have my respect as a fellow (but still amatuer) artist for this brilliant idea. It's definately something I can listen to over and over again.

On a different note, I saw the review you gave for Dj Pinke (thats how I found you) and saw how much he said it helped him. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind doing the same for one of my songs. I would greatly appreciate it.

Karco responds:

Glad you liked it that much! :D The idea wasn't fully mine, though, Rig was the first to do it (link in the description). I just did it with one of my own songs after his reversed song gave me the idea to do it. ;)

I've been busy lately so I can't guarantee a review, let alone the likes of the kind I gave Dj Pinke... especially since I can review almost all techno/trance/dance/etc. the same way. I'll definitely try to, though, and I know for sure I'll listen to it and vote on it. ;)

Thanks for the review! :)

Spin tingly

Listening to the intro made me think of playing Silent Hill 3, then, after the intro, it made me think of resident evil sorta. Very creepy sound to it. I love it.

GrysonOC responds:

Thanks, The creepy is what I was aiming for. ^-^

Ah the nightmares!

The nightmares of trying over and over and over and over trying to conquer this song but inevitably failing... they haunt me to this day. Good job though. I'll have to check out your other one.

DJ-Nightmare responds:

Lmao. Yea I still havent beat that. But i can beat dragonforce -_- I dont get it lol.

You definately have the voice

for a musical. Reminds me of the main character of Rent. I'm surprised you haven't done an actual musical. and if you have then shame on you for not putting it on newgrounds. J/k. You do what you want with your music. Just know that your amazing. Kudos

Ginchy responds:

yeah, people tell me I sound a bit like the rocker (Roger) from Rent. I take that as a compliment. I learned to sing by doing musicals and choir. i'm working with a few people on developing a script for a musical about superheroes. i want it to be something like mystery men meets romeo and juliet kind of thing (the two families being heroes and villains, their kids in love). it's slow going. writing the music is the easy part... developing characters, much harder.

Do you have your own studio?

Cause damn. Everything sounds crystal clear, especialy the vocals. I don't exactly get the message, but I prolly will after listening to it a few times, and since I'm downloading it, that won't be too long.

Ginchy responds:

do I own my own studio? not sure how to answer that... i have a computer and a few decent microphones, so I guess you can say my apartment is a make-shift recording studio. this is probably my most professional sounding recording, but my ears say that all of my tracks could use a good mastering from a professional.

I'm glad you like the song enough to download it man! I think it may sound relatively professional because I have decent singers at my disposal and utilize drum loops (real session players played them). I spend a lot of time mulling over mixes by playing them on multiple speaker systems (really crappy speakers, really nice speakers and everything between).

The song is about being mediocre in a society where in order to be valued, you have to be exceptional in some way. Being 'young for my age' is about not being where society seems to think you should be by a certain age... like being 25, still working on a bachelor's degree and not having any idea what to do for a living. People my age are always apologizing for where they are (or aren't) in life... like they know more was expected of them but they failed somehow (ie. they were supposed to travel to other countries, be an important executive or politician). When your life's over, did you make an impression? did you matter? is your exisitence going to make a difference in the grand scheme of things? Depends on on what you value. If you were loved and were sincere and 'good' to the best of your ability, shouldn't that be enough?

I think these are things most people think about.

Interesting piece of work

I sounds dark and very video game like. My only suggestion is increase the volume of the drums a little bit. Not to make them over powering, just enough to make them more noticable.

Billtog responds:

I was having a bit of trouble with the drums in SynthFont. If I made them much louder, certain effects would over-power the entire music while others would be at perfect volume. I decided it was better to have them in the background than to be able to hear nothing else. Thanks for your review.

I'm here and I'm ready to be here for you. You don't have to do this alone anymore.
